How this post should have gone:
When it comes down to it, rape is not a compliment and ‘primal urges’ are not equal to consent. Looks and appearance are not an invitation to anybody’s body and rape is a hugely distressing crime that can cause any man or woman to suffer. Rape should not be compared to other situations as all situations have different affects on different people.
Now we get down to the fundamental principles of rape, it is not natural and is not okay under any circumstance. Both men and women can be raped. Everybody should have the choice as to what they want to do with their body. Sex should be one of those choices and not forced.
Rape is a big deal. It is not an exaggeration to get some attention, it is a serious issue. Just because a person enjoys sex, does not mean they enjoy rape. The huge difference is consent. People report rape as it is a horrific crime and often victims do not want others to suffer as they did. Victims want justice and a prison sentence will never be enough.
